An easy and reliable weather station

An easy and reliable weather station

What is the Crodeon weather station?

So you're thinking about getting a weather station but you're not sure where to start? Do yourself a favour and go for reliability and ease of use.

The Crodeon weather station consists of a weather sensor, a Reporter and a solar panel. The Reporter transmits data from the sensor to the cloud. Use the 10W solar panel or grid power adapter to keep the Reporter's battery charged. No more need to replace batteries!

The weather sensor measures the six parameters, but many other sensors can be added.

  • Included: Temperature, wind speed, wind peak speed and wind direction, rain and relative air humidity
  • Optional: leaf wetness, soil moisture, PAR light, CO2, air quality and many more in the webshop

A cloud connected weather station

If you're serious about monitoring the weather, make sure to choose a reliable wireless connection. This is what the Reporter is all about:

  • Real-time data at intervals of up to 30 seconds.
  • Connectivity through GSM network with on-board sim card (provided by Crodeon).
  • Excellent coverage and bandwidth throughout Europe.

Getting notified when the weather changes

The built-in alarm functionality allows you to receive notifications by sms, email or voice call when the temperature, wind speed, rain or humidity exceed the thresholds of your choice.

Besides watching the weather we also monitor the hardware. Crodeon monitors the connection and will notify you within 24 hours if your weather station goes offline.

Can you install it yourself?

No technical knowledge is required to install the hardware. The Reporter, solar panel and weather sensor work plug & play. You can install your weather station all by yourself without any specific knowledge of electronics or IT. We care deeply about your time and your comfort.

For more installation instructions visit the product page of the weather sensor.

Accessing your data through the API

Crodeon provides a cloud API that allows you to access all measurements of your weather station from other systems or your own app.

At all times, the data remains stored and available on the Crodeon servers. There is no need to provide storage of your own. Contact us for more information about the API or try our live demo yourself.

Upgrades and extensions

The Reporter has 3 or 6 connectors that give you a free choice to add additional sensors. Browse our shop to view all sensors.

Besides temperature, wind, humidity and rain there's many more parameters to choose from: leaf wetness, soil moisture, water level, air quality and so on. It's also possible to connect multiple weather sensors to one Reporter.

All sensors can be ordered and connected afterwards so feel free to start with the basic weather kit and add your next favourite sensors when you need them.
