This particulate matter (PM) sensor is based on the SPS30 module by Sensirion AG. Crodeon ships this sensor with a 5m M12 extension cord for direct compatibility with your Crodeon Reporter.
This MCERTS-certified sensor marks a new technological breakthrough in optical PM sensors. Its measurement principle is based on laser scattering and makes use of Sensirion's innovative contamination-resistance technology. This technology, together with high-quality and long-lasting components, enables precise measurements from the device's first operation and throughout its lifetime of more than ten years while operating continuously for 24 hours/day.
Particulate Matter, abbreviated as PM, is a mixture of airborne solid particles and liquid droplets that can be inhaled and may cause serious health problems. PM includes particles with different characteristics (i.e. shape, optical properties, size and composition) but it is most commonly divided into sub-categories based on the particle size. The SPS30 module measures PM1.0, PM2.5, PM4.0 and PM10. Visit the website of Sensirion for more information about measuring Particulate Matter.
Every Reporter requires a yearly subscription to operate. Add this package to your cart when checking out. The subscription covers things like connectivity and use of the Crodeon Dashboard. Click here to read more about how it works.
