What is frost detection?
Measuring temperature and detecting frost might seem like an easy endeavor at first. However, a good frost detection system can be used outside, in the middle of nowhere, without grid power or internet available.
These conditions turn a relatively simple question into a complex technological challenge. Fortunately Reporter offers a solution to this problem.
The specifications of Reporter make the device highly suited for this challenging task.
The solar panel provides power for continuous readings through day and night, with live communication to the Internet. Even on a measurement interval of 60 seconds and with lengthy overcast periods, Reporter will keep operating nominally.
Connected and protected
Because of the Internet connection through the GSM-network of Proximus you don’t need Wi-Fi or a local modem. Reporter comes with an industrial SIM card in order to be connected right away.
Furthermore, the device is waterproof so you don’t need to provide a protective enclosure. Each device connects up to four sensors allowing for easy measuring at several different heights. Sensor cables can be extended up to 30 meters per sensor.

The Crodeon Dashboard in the cloud allows the user to read the most recent sensor data at any moment on any device. The Dashboard has a responsive design, which means it runs great on smartphone, tablet or pc.
Use and configure the Reporter from your seat and save yourself valuable time. Switching the device on and off and adjusting the measurement interval or the alarm is done completely online. The Dashboard also offers the possibility to export the data via Excel or to access it via API.
