Remote Monitoring IoT

A smart watering system allows you to remotely check the operation of your irrigation using your pc or smartphone. Remote irrigation monitoring lets you check up on water flow, water level and soil moisture levels without taking manual measurements or even visiting your field. Follow your sprinklers online and make the most out of your time, water and equipment. You can even turn off your system by tapping the button on your phone's screen. Avoid disaster while spending your time more efficiently.

Prevent wear and breakdowns

While irrigating many things can go wrong, so it is of utmost importance to be warned about sudden defects. You want to be notified as quickly as possible when a water pipe breaks, a tube gets clogged or your water reservoir runs dry. Knowing if all your equipment is functioning properly makes the difference between a healthy crop or wasted time and potentially harvest failure.

Unfortunately, you are not always around when this occurs, meaning that water spillage could go unchecked for hours. Or letting your harvest wilt in the summer heat when your sprinklers fail.

Remote irrigation monitoring with Reporter makes sure that you can leave your watering setup with peace of mind. You will receive an alarm notification when something goes wrong, and if you want to check proactively, this can be done online. That's the true beauty of a smart watering system!

Irrigate as always

As a farmer you have no time to follow technical procedures or study a long user instruction manual. That's why Reporter works autonomously to notify you about your smart irrigation.

Preparing the tools and machines for an irrigation session is already a heavy and complex task. Reporter handles the necessary calculations and starts reporting when you start irrigating. After the process is finished, Reporter goes back to sleep.

The device takes care of all the technical work. You only have to enjoy real-time reporting on your pc or smartphone. Simply check up on your smart watering system online instead of visiting your setup.

How does it work?

When irrigating, Reporter measures the water pressure on the reel, the current roll-up speed and the distance to the gun, once every minute. Additionally, when soil moisture sensors were installed, you can check if irrigation is still needed or if the system is ready to be shut off. Reporter is compatible with a wide variety of sensors, allowing you to customize your smart watering system to your liking. When installing wind sensors you will also be able to measure wind speed and direction. This way you will be aware of water potentially being blown in another direction, making the irrigation process less efficient at that moment.

All readings are transmitted in real-time to the Crodeon Dashboard. This allows you to check the irrigation status on your pc or smartphone at any given moment. Reporter will also notify you via sms if anything goes wrong during the process. You can set these alarm notifications for all of your sensors.

Smart irrigation gives you the opportunity to carry out other tasks without having to worry about your water flow while also using water more efficiently, making this form of farming more sustainable. When you receive an alarm notification that, for example, your soil moisture level is high enough, you can even remotely turn off your system through the relay module.

Why choose remote irrigation monitoring?

A smart watering system can help you save costs when it comes to water and time. Reduce water spillage and invest your time more efficiently.

  • Stop wasting money on manual labor, when you can follow up on your system from a distance.
  • Reduce water spillage by accurately measuring how much water your field actually needs.
  • Lower the risk of a failed harvest when soil moisture sensors keep you updated about water saturation.
  • Analyse and optimise your business when looking at your collected data in the cloud.

    Focus on user convenience

Any settings that you'd like to control on your smart irrigation, such as the sms alarm receiver or alarm thresholds per sensor, can be modified through the Crodeon Dashboard. You never touch Reporter; the device doesn't even have any buttons!

Reporter can be installed on any type or brand of sprinkling reel. The system comes with its own solar panel and sensors. The smart sms alarm will let you know what's wrong and what the last readings are. Due to the remote irrigation monitoring, it only takes one step to navigate from the sms to the dashboard for further analysis of the situation.
