Lactalis uses Reporter for temperature monitoring in its warehouses

Lactalis is a world-leading multinational in the production of various dairy products like the well-known President (brie, camembert), Galbani (mozzarella, ricotta, mascarpone), Roquefort Société, Leerdammer, and Salakis (feta).
Equans is Lactalis' partner for all their needs regarding the professional refrigeration systems. They installed the cold rooms, maintain them, maintain the built-in alarms, and installed Reporter as the backup alarm system.
Reporter as a backup temperature alarm system
To keep their dairy products safe in the refrigerated warehouse in Mollem (Belgium), Lactalis uses Reporter for reliable temperature monitoring.
Even though Lactalis had built-in alarm systems monitoring their cold rooms, they experienced a problem in the past. This is when they decided they needed a backup temperature alarm system.
"We have a refrigerated warehouse in Mollem where our goods are received and then distributed across the Benelux. The cooling system is continuously monitored, and if the temperature gets too high, the built-in system sends out alarm notifications.
However, in the past, we experienced an issue where the alarm system failed, resulting in damages. That incident led us to decide it was essential to install a separate, independent temperature alarm in our cooling units in addition to the existing monitoring.
We use Reporter as a reliable backup for our temperature monitoring. With Reporter, we can rest assured that we will be alerted if the temperature exceeds the set threshold."
Even professionals appreciate the ease of Reporter's simplicity
Large companies like Equans are familiar with all kinds of tech when it comes to refrigeration. From custom-built systems to out-of-the-box solutions like Reporter. We asked them more about why they chose Reporter as a backup system and what their experience with the system is.
“As Lactalis has already explained, an error occurred in their reporting system, causing new alarms to not get acknowledged correctly. We then opted for the installation of a separate, stand-alone temperature alarm as a backup. This allows us to keep Lactalis informed in real-time when temperatures rise beyond the desired threshold.
We chose Reporter and have been very pleased with this choice ever since. The physical installation as well as the configuration of the Crodeon Dashboard have been very straightforward and user-friendly. Our customer Lactalis has been more than satisfied with Reporter's ease of use, as well.
Even our colleagues without any programming experience were able to easily get Reporter up and running. The only thing we contacted Crodeon for was some extra information regarding the cascading alarms, which was then easily resolved!”
Easy-to-use temperature monitoring system
We asked Lactalis about their user experience regarding Reporter and the Crodeon Dashboard.
"It's very reassuring to be able to check real-time temperatures remotely with just one click on your phone, regardless of whether there are any alarms. For example, during hot summer days, I can easily check the current temperatures in our warehouse at any time.
The Crodeon Dashboard is also very user-friendly. I was able to start using it right away!"
