A limit switch is a widely used tool to monitor mechanical processes such as moving machine parts, elevators, packaging equipment or opening doors. This sensor is the ideal solution when you want to monitor when a door was opened in your building or to track when a machine moved.

It can give valuable information regarding safety and security when you are able to receive an alarm when a door remains open when it shouldn’t. Think about walk-in freezers that dethaw or security doors that are no longer secure.

Our limiter switch lets your measure the following parameters with ease: 0 & 1 (open and closed). Whereas for most other sensors in our shop the measurements are transmitted on a fixed measurement interval, this is not the case for limit switches. Reporter registers the exact moment in time when the state of the limit switch changes from 0 to 1 and back.

A trusty Honeywell sensor, assembled by Crodeon

At Crodeon we developed the versatile, plug & play sensor module for remote monitoring: Reporter. We choose to work with the world's most trusted sensor producers, like Honeywell for our limit switch. Assembled into a 5m cable with M12 connector, making it directly compatible with Reporter.

Introducing Honeywell's GLLC01A2B industrial limiter switch, part of the GLL Series miniature limit switches. Designed for both indoor and outdoor applications, these global-certified switches are perfect for machinery and equipment. With a compact design and integral contact block, they offer double-insulated thermoplastic housing and conform to the EN50047 mounting pattern.

Enjoy reliable outdoor limit switch performance with IP and NEMA environmental sealing. These switches feature positive opening for all normally closed contacts.

Not the switch you need?

Honeywell lets you choose from a range of linear and rotary actuators, along with various contact block options to meet your specific needs. Such as ten different actuator heads, five different contact options, and two different conduits in the GLL series alone.

Don't hesitate to contact us if the GLLC01A2B doesn't work for your project.

Where to use your limiter switch

Ensure optimal safety and performance by avoiding any placement that may cause jamming or obstruction to your machinery, doors, or equipment.

Crafted from robust and durable materials, the sensor is constructed with a reinforced thermoplastic infused with glass fiber. It operates flawlessly within a temperature range of -10 °C to 80 °C, making it suitable for various environments. With an IP66 rating, this switch is completely waterproof, making it an excellent choice for outdoor applications. Rest assured, it boasts a mechanical lifespan of up to 5 million operations, guaranteeing long-lasting durability.

What is a limit switch?

A limit switch is a mechanical sensor that can sense and monitor whether a mechanical part is opened or closed.

Application of a limiter switch?

A limiter switch can be used in a variety of markets such as construction, industry, agriculture, food, and much more. The switch detects whether a mechanical part has moved.

Can you use a limit switch outside?

Depending on the specifications of your sensor you can use your switch in different environments. An outdoor limit switch for example should have appropriate IP values to withstand the weather.
